The best present a singer can give her followers this holiday season is a timeless gift of Christmas songs. “It never goes out of style,” volunteers Sitti, the country’s undisputed queen of bossa nova, adding, “It’s every singer’s dream to have his own Christmas CD, and I’m glad that this year, my dream has come true.“

Sitti tells us that when the Christmas season comes, she gets into a melancholic mood. “ I do not know why, but I get very sensitive and sentimental at the same time when the holidays are near. This year has been particularly busy for Sitti. She just returned from a successful U.S. tour and released a Christmas album. On Nov. 29, local music’s Bossa Nova diva celebrates her birthday and success in the music scene with First, a solo concert at the Captain’s Bar of the Mandarin Oriental Manila.

The telecast show is a first for Sitti. It will be her first time to stage a concert on her actual birthday. First will also trace Sitti’s roots through songs – how she started, her rise to success and future plans.
