A bossa nova Christmas concert

Fresh from her successful birthday concert at the Captains’ Bar of the Mandarin Oriental on Nov. 29, bossa nova singer Sitti will have a special Christmas concert tomorrow night (Dec. 17) at the Music Museum in the Greenhills Shopping Complex in San Juan.
Dubbed as An Evening in December with Sitti, the concert will feature Sitti as she serenades the audience with cuts from her latest album Ngayong Pasko which has just been certified platinum for selling more than 25,000 copies.
“I am just truly blessed,” Sitti said in a statement. “I am very thankful to everyone who has supported me, everyone who watched my concerts, and bought my albums. I am always grateful.”
Expect Sitti to perform cuts from Ngayong Pasko, including her versions of popular Christmas songs like “Winter Wonderland,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” and “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus,” “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” “Grown-up Christmas List,” and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.”
Joining Sitti in the one-night concert is balladeer Christian Bautista, who recorded the track “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” for Sitti’s Christmas album. Also set to guest in the concert is crooner Richard Poon and the Hiyas ng Pilipinas Children’s Choir.
Sitti said the Christmas concert will also be a thanksgiving show as well to all her fans who have supported her this year.
Sitti’s earlier albums have continued to sell well this year, including her fourth album, My Bossa Nova, which reached the platinum mark for sales exceeding 25,000 units.
It was also this year that Sitti finished her Business Economics degree at the University of the Philippines. Despite her numerous showbiz commitments, Sitti still graduated with honors as a dean’s medalist.
“There is so many things to be thankful about, and there is so many people to thank. I am very happy because of the support of many people who made so many things possible for me,” Sitti said.

teka, teka, parang di rin ako nabalitaan about the platinum status! parang medyo maraming erratum dito sa article, look at the 8th paragraph. nag master’s degree course ba si sitti sa UP? ang intindi ko sa article, this year siya nagtapos sa UP. hindi ba nung 1995 pa siya nag grad? wah

i don’t think they meant Master’s degree, but she graduated yes, quite awhile ago … oi grabeh ka naman 1995 … baka 2005 hahahaha

If it says “just been certified” i’m assuming something that was recognized on TV. The writer may have had My Bossa Nova in mind while writing this. Sabay sabay naman kasi magkaaward eh! hindi mapigilan! haha!
